ifvaEverywhereCarnival

The biennial “Jockey Club ifva Everywhere Carnival” is the highlight of the “Jockey Club ifva Everywhere” project. The inaugural ifva Carnival in 2016 pooled together 125 creative units and attracted 14,500 visits, successfully promoting creative media to the community. The ifva Carnival returns with another host of exciting programmes on 29 and 30 September at the Edinburgh Place in Central, including Open-air Screening, Film Tent, Cinematic Playground, Experience Zone and Pop-up Backyard, aiming to open up a new horizon about media culture for the visitors. Highlights of the ifva Carnival include: Open-air screening of Plain Jane to The Rescue, the 1982 classic comedy directed by John Woo, as well as Jour de Fête (The Big Day), the first feature comedy directed by French legendary director Jacques Tati; large-scale interactive installation Twelve-swing Donut that captures the rhythm of swinging and reminisces about our childhood pleasure; Hand-painted 16mm Film Workshop for some first-hand experiences of 16mm film by drawing on it to create abstract animation. This year ifva once again collaborates with Young and Innocent whose Founder and Art Director Lio Yeung has designed the key visual for the ifva Carnival.
